We support the Harvest Project because we take seriously the Biblical injunction to “feed the hungry and help those in trouble.”  Isaiah 58:10 NLT.

The Harvest Project, extending a hand up, not a hand out, was begun with the vision of WVBC member John Foster in 1993 and continues onward with 120 active volunteers annually. The Harvest Project vitally supports individuals and families  across the North Shore who are challenged by a family break-down, illness, job loss, poverty, or other crises providing client-care coaching and counseling, grocery and clothes support, thrift shop, and emergency drop-in help. They empower their clients physically, emotionally and spiritually. They are so much more than a foodbank!
