Once again, West Vancouver Baptist Church is encouraging the congregation to fill a “shoe box” to delight a child.  Start with a medium to large item that will capture the child’s attention the instant he or she opens the box.  More ideas “check this out”.

The story of the Good Samaritan (Luke 10:30-37) gives a clear picture of God’s desire for us to help those in desperate need wherever we find them. Since 1970, Samaritan’s Purse has followed Christ’s command by aiding the world’s poor, sick, and suffering. We are an effective means of reaching hurting people in countries around the globe with food, medicine, and other assistance in the Name of Jesus Christ. This, in turn, earns us a hearing for the Gospel, the Good News of eternal life through Jesus Christ.

By filling a shoebox and praying for the child who will receive it, you are sending love to the poorest of the poor and through Samaritan’s Purse 12 lesson discipleship training program, a child can receive the best spiritual gift, the true Hope and true Freedom through Jesus Christ as Lord.
