In Jesus' day, weddings were the social highlight of peoples lives. A time of great joy and celebration.

• By turning the water into wine he was declaring Himself to be God's long-awaited Messiah, the Son of the Living God
• A sign of the extravagant nature of His heart and Kingdom
• Christ is an extravagant Saviour who transforms our lives

• The miracle always begins when we reach the end of our own resources and turn to Jesus for help
