- He was a relatively poor, hard-working tradesman living in a little village in an unimportant part of Israel. Once, his family were kings.
Ancient prophecies said that the family would be blessed by God and reign in the future. At least some in Joseph’s family hoped for better things to come. Right now, though, the situation was difficult. Perhaps Joseph was discouraged; maybe even just a bit bitter? Or maybe he was content and happy? Either way, he trusted God and sought to obey Him. And Joseph’s life was about to change—in a way that would be both exciting and difficult.
