A Psalm of Curse?
A few weeks ago, Pastor Ken started a new sermon series focuxed on the Psalms.
The series began with Psalm 113, a spalm of pure priase, praise from beginning to end. THen we have Psalm 126, a song of sadness transformed into singing, recalling Israle's return from excile to Zion. Last week, our guest speaker, Pastor Brian, preached on Psalm 27, highlight its chiasm structure showing how prayer teaches us on being honest with God and trust Him wholeheartedly.
Today, let us look at this imprectory psalm, Psalm 137. Interestingly, like the psalm Pastor Brian chose last time, it features a Chiasm structure.

Closing Prayer
“Heavenly Father, we give You thanks and praise. You remember us and the Bible says You care for us. We acknowledge that in our lives, we have our own desires, yet those may not always be what You desire. What we hate may not always be what You hate. Transform our hearts, Lord, so that we may walk in step with You and live lives of continual worship and praise. Thank You for Your holy Word. In Jesus’ name we pray, amen.”
