We support the Harvest Project because we take seriously the Biblical injunction to "feed the hungry and help those in trouble." Isaiah 58:10 NLT

Harvest Project, extending a hand-up, not a hand up, began with the vision of WVBC member David Foster in 1993 and continues onward with 120 active volunteers annually.

Harvest Project vitally supports individuals and families across the North Shore who are challenged by a family breakdown, illness, job loss, poverty, or other crises, providing client-care coaching and counseling, grocery and clothes support, thrift shop, and emergency drop-in help.  They provide coaching plus counseling, North Shore rent bank, grocery, clothing support, and Clothes For Change thrift shop.

Harvest Project impacts the community by breaking the poverty cycle and restoring people to healthier lives.  They empower their clients physically, emotionally, and spiritually.  They are so much more than a food bank! For more information visit their website.
