Message from Pastor Ken
Hi everyone! Happy October! The weeks certainly do fly by.
I’m going to keep this week’s note short again. My goal is to upload the 2nd installment of the Bible study on spiritual gifts that I began to post a couple weeks ago. We’re still in the preliminary part of the book, but I want to get into the serious study elements as soon as I can, so I’m trying to keep things moving. It’s almost ready and should be posted soon. Meanwhile I don’t want to generate too much text to read here. I trust the materials will be thought-provoking and helpful.
On other fronts, I’m excited to let you know that Dr. Ross Lockhart will be with us this Sunday as a special guest speaker. Many of you will remember Ross, since he preached quite regularly at WVBC several years ago. (If you can’t picture him, think bow-tie!) I know Ross will have a wonderful and enriching message from God’s Word. Please be praying for him as he prepares, and welcome him warmly when you see him.
We’ve invited Ross because we appreciate his teaching. In part also he’s joining us because Diane and I will be away this Sunday. We always miss fellowshipping with you all, but we know you’ll have a wonderful time of worship together, and we’ll look forward to connecting again next week.
