Message from Pastor Ken Radant

Wow, it’s amazing how fast the weeks fly by! I can’t quite believe we’re already at the last Thursday of January. It’s nice to have the sun for a little longer each day—though I suppose it would be nicer still if the clouds would part now and then so we could see the sun directly and not through a screen of rain.  I find myself praying that we’ll be spared from too much flooding this year and that the snowpack will stay deep at the higher levels so we have ample water for summer.

I find that there are still many transition things to do in the office, which fills the days and makes the weeks run quickly. I finally hung some pictures today, so it feels a bit more like home. Little by little the adjustments will smooth out for us all. All the same, I’m really enjoying working with our wonderful team, and am very conscious of the privilege it is for me to serve you all in this new capacity.

Yesterday I also had the privilege of spending some time in a monthly gathering of CBWC pastors. It was great to get to know some new colleagues, and to pray for one another. It’s always good to have the reminder that our church is part of a larger work of Christ’s church in the Greater Vancouver area. It felt especially appropriate since this week’s message from Acts 18 will be looking at some of the Apostle Paul’s co-workers and the importance of partnership in the church’s ministry.

I hope you’re having a great week, and staying dry and warm. As always, I look forward to worshipping together on Sunday.
