Pastor's Message - Chris Kibble

There is a story told about a mother who came to Napoleon on behalf of her son, who was about to be executed. The mother asked the ruler to issue a pardon, but Napoleon pointed out that it was the man's second offense and justice demanded death.

"I don't ask for justice," the woman replied. "I plead for mercy." The emperor objected, "But your son doesn't deserve mercy." "Sir," the mother replied, "it would not be mercy if he deserved it, and mercy is all I ask.” Her son was granted the pardon.

Livestream sound:  our Sunday Morning Service on our website through live streaming, through the Mandarin Zoom login, and on YouTube has grown in attendance with 30 – 40 viewers. We realize that we have had sound issues recently and are diligently working to provide a meaningful worship service. We are waiting for two new soundboards (on order) that will greatly help with that issue. We are also looking at broadcasting software to help with viewing the PowerPoint slides. The Technical Team of Neil Bell, Don Hill, and Judy Thompson are looking at all aspects of improving our worship time together in all the various venues.

Giving: We are thankful for your support for our church. We have had several calls recently regarding how to give to the church. There are several ways, and all ways are available on the website. For example e-transfers from your bank, Direct Deposit from your bank, and credit cards via the website. Please check out the website under DONATE. Of course, cheques and cash can be placed in the donation box at the entrance to the Sanctuary. If you have any questions, please contact Judy Thompson
