The sermon of “Sadness into Singing”, which Pastor Ken preached on July 19, really hit the spot.
There will be tears, there will be pain - times will be hard, but in the end, there will be laughter. Hard times will end. Even Jesus endured the cross for the joy set before him.
Having lost my dad last November, I'm now facing the gradual loss of my mum - so many complications, in and out of the hospital. Don’t know whether I am coming or going. I am not sure whether I am even on the right path, nor which decision to make, whether I turn right or left.
My (spiritually adopted) daughter has a 3-year-old who has been having seizures. She has been in and out of the hospital and under the care of doctors. It is not easy and try as I might, I can’t stay on top, and I have no control of anything.
I have decided to resign from being the God of the universe and let God be God. Jesus is my guide, and I can trust him. I am not going to meditate on the mess, but meditate on the master. In addition, I have found the words below very comforting. I hope you’ll benefit as well.
A lot of the time you feel God is breaking you - He is actually building you.
Sincerely,
Liz
