Message from the Pastor - Bob Bahr

Dear Friends:

I want to let you know that I appreciate you and your commitment to our ministry here on the North Shore so much.  I was particularly moved by last Sunday’s joint service and all the various components of the service. Our worship together was so meaningful.

Please continue to pray for a fresh outpouring of the Spirit this week.   When we gather on Sundays, I visualize us joining together with the angels of heaven who are already at worship.

“The twenty-four elders fall down and worship the One sitting on the throne
(the one who lives forever and ever). And they lay crowns at His feet and cry:
‘You are worthy, O Lord our God, to receive glory and honour and power.
For you created all things, and they exist because you created what you pleased.’”
Revelation 4:10-11 NLT

This Sunday, we will be reflecting on the story of the healing of the nobleman’s son found in John 4: 46-54.

Jesus is our healer. Please read through these verses and try to put yourself in the story. Don’t be in a hurry.

  • Why have you come?
  • What are your expectations?
  • Where are you standing?
  • What do you see?
  • What are you feeling?
  • What is Jesus saying to you?

Where do you need a special healing touch from Jesus?

I look forward to seeing you this week but if you aren’t able to come in person we invite you to visit us online.  May the presence of our Triune God embrace you in His love and healing grace as you wait upon Him.

Special Announcements

Charitable Receipts: The 2022 Charitable Receipts were emailed on Wednesday, February 15.  If you didn’t get one via email, please check on Sunday morning.  There is a box with receipts for you to pick up.  If not picked up they will be mailed after February 26.  Please give us your email when you pick it up as it helps save envelopes and possible postage.  Unfortunately, the letter that came with the emailed tax receipts was from 2021 and not 2022. I clicked on the incorrect file in my haste to get these out in a timely manner.  The correct letter from our Treasurer, Don Hill will be available in the foyer on Sunday.  Thank you for your understanding.

Volunteer opportunities:  Do you enjoy meeting new people, and have a way of making them feel welcome and connected?  Please consider signing up to volunteer at the Welcome Table on Sunday mornings.  Contact Tracey in the church office.

Are you a “tech whizz”?  Our technical team is looking for volunteers to help with the sound, camera, and PowerPoint on Sunday mornings as well as for a few exciting new projects, giving you an opportunity to use your skills to serve WVBC. Training will be provided.  Please contact the office for more details. 604.922.0911
